Migrant Communities
In 2009 our staff contacted the main migrant organizations in Belgium representing the migrant communities of the countries included in the STAVR-project. Mongolian, Indian, Ecuadorian, Brazilian, Bosnian, Kosovar, Armenian, Georgian, Ukrainian, Senegalese, Cameroonian and Guinean migrant organizations have been found ready to cooperate with Caritas International.
The collaboration with migrant organizations guarantees the accessibility to information for the migrants.
The migrant organizations will translate and publish a leaflet providing information about the reintegration possibilities in the specific countries of return. These leaflets will be published in the respective languages of the different migrant communities. The migrant organizations are also involved in information sessions about voluntary return and reintegration provided by Caritas International.
