Social assistants of the Social Service (named Brabantia) of Caritas International can be contacted to talk about a return. The service is open to everyone every morning during week days. The social service has a lot of experience in this matter and has worked as a partner of IOM since 1984.
If either the social assistant who makes the reservation of the return flight ticket or the returnee him/herself feel the need to find out more about the reintegration possibilities after return, they can contact the Reintegration Team.
The Reintegration Team of Caritas International can be contacted by and for anyone who is considering a voluntary return. Our regional case managers have a lot of experience with the different countries and the local partner organizations. We provide information, but we can also prepare the potential returnees for their return and reintegration.
The Reintegration Team always tries to meet the returnee at least twice before his/her departure to discuss the possibilities after return.
Caritas International offers two types of reintegration assistance: the general reintegration programme, and the specific reintegration project 'STAVR'. Explanations about both types of assistance can be found on this website.
In certain cases Caritas International works in collaboration with UNIZO (Union of Independent Entrepreneurs). In these cases, the returnee can count on additional assistance, consisting of several hours of consultancy by UNIZO before departure. UNIZO analyses the micro business skills of the returnee, assists him/her in developing his/her micro business plan, and gives practical advice about setting up a business in the country of return.
