What we do
The Cell Voluntary Return and Reintegration at Caritas International Belgium is active the field of voluntary return as a partner of IOM (International Organization for migration) since 1984, and in the field of Reintegration since 2004.
Voluntary Return
The REAB-programme helps asylum seekers and migrants who wish to return voluntarily to their country of origin.
Counselling Before Departure
The Reintegration Team of Caritas International can be contacted by and for anyone who is considering a voluntary return. Our regional case managers have a lot of experience with the different countries and the local partner organizations. We can provide information, but we can also prepare the return and reintegration with the potential returnee.
Reintegration Programme
In cooperation with our local partners in the countries of return we look for individual answers to specific problems the returnees might encounter during their re-integration process.
Enhanced Reintegration (STAVR project)
The special project "Strengthening Tailor-made Assisted Voluntary Return"- STAVR seeks to increase the chances of a successful reintegration for people returning voluntarily to their country of origin after their stay in Belgium.
