Country Information

Guinea, is a country in West Africa. Formerly known as French Guinea (Guinée française), it is today sometimes called Guinea-Conakry to distinguish it from its neighbor Guinea-Bissau. Conakry is the capital, the seat of the national government, and the largest city. The Guinean community is large in Antwerpen and Gent. Most Guinean returnees are rejected asylum seekers and go back to Conakry to start an income generating activity.

3AE Guinée-Conakry : L'Agence Autonome d'assistance Intégrée aux Entreprises (3A Entreprises)  is a partner of the french NGO PMIE in Guinée, and a local partner of Caritas Belgium since 2008. 3AE was created in 1997, following a programme by UNDP, ONUDI and the Guinean Government, created in 1984. Its mission is to encourage the creation and the developpment of small firms.
